I would also like to announce the release of the video performance of my art song The House With Nobody In It. This performance was the second by the Philadelphia-based ensemble illumine, who also commissioned the work. This performance took place on July 21, 2018 at Main Line Unitarian Church in Devon, Pennsylvania, with the premiere performance just the night before in East Greenville, Pennsylvania. The song is a setting of the Joyce Kilmer poem of the same name. Kilmer is best known for his poem Trees, which he penned in his hometown of Mahwah, New Jersy, the same town in which I currently reside. I have just completed a setting of the poem as an art song with the same instrumentation as The House With Nobody In It (mezzo-soprano, violin, and piano).
