When leaves begin to fall . . .

Below is the video of the premiere performance of When leaves begin to fall performed by the American Modern Esnemble, which was Sato Moughalian-flute, Tasha Warren-clarinet, Matthew Ward-percussion, Blair McMillen-piano, Esther Noh-violin and Dave Eggar-cello, conducted by Francisco Hernández Bolaños. The work is a tribute to my mom who passed away on February 1, 2018 from Parkinson’s related dementia. Please see my previous post “Busy summer with little time to write . . . words!” for a full description of how and why this music was written. The performance took place on June 8, 2018 at the Mostly Modern Festival held at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, New York. I couldn’t be more pleased with the performance by AME. Through their truly inspiring performance, they captured the essence of the message of my work. Enjoy the video below, and please post your comments below, or on the YouTube channel itself. Thank you!
